The Basque Market is a haven for Basque food, shopping, and cooking classes/wine tastings. You’ll find kitchen items and gifts imported from the Iberian Peninsula, from dishes to olive oil dispensers to the Northwest’s largest selection of Spanish wines.
Stop by Wednesdays and Fridays, when the Market prepares a paella from start to finish right on their patio. For only $7 you can enjoy a plate of seafood and meat paella with freshly baked bread. Come early and enjoy a glass of wine or frozen white sangria and watch it be prepared.
A tapas-style lunch is served 12-3 pm every day with an ever-changing selection of bocadillos (mini-sandwiches), soups, salads and other traditional and non-traditional tastes such as croquetas, empanadas, tortilla or stuffed piquillo peppers.
On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 4-7 pm, tapas continues into the evening with a more elaborate spread. Tapas are a great way to try many different items without breaking the bank! Gather friends and relax with nightly drink specials and wine tasting. Enjoy happy hour prices 4-6 pm Monday through Friday.
The Market also has a deli case filled with prepared items for you to take home and enjoy, including soups, olive tapenade, port-poached figs, rice pudding, croquetas, and squid in ink. Along with food, the Market sells various Spanish goods such as smoked paprika, assorted turrones, or olives stuffed with piquillos, blue cheese, or anchovies.
